Module 1: Drug Metabolism, Multimodal Principles and Buprenorphine
This session starts with an in-depth discussion of drug metabolism including phases, prodrugs, drug-drug interactions, and genetic influence with complex case studies. The use of multi-modal principles when determining pain management strategies and the increase in the usage of the atypical opioid, buprenorphine, will also be discussed.

Module 2: NSAIDS, Opioids, TRVP
This session outlines the pros and cons of NSAIDs usage. Typical opioid therapies will be covered along with their side effects and appropriate use. This session will also describe the issues related to the safe use of the unique drug, methadone, for use in pain management.

Module 3: Neuropathic Agents, Muscle Relaxants, Cannabinoids
This session will cover the category of neuropathic agents utilized in pain management treatment. Under this category are antidepressants and anticonvulsants. Muscle relaxants will be discussed regarding their use in pain management. The controversial, wide spread use of cannabinoids will be explored, including issues with it's legality in everyday practice.

Module 4: Ketamine, Magnesium, Lidocaine Infusions; PAMORA; Naltrexone; CGRP
This session with discuss the use of ketamine, magnesium and lidocaine infusions. The course continues with issues regarding PAMORA, low dose naltrexone use and the indications for the new CGRP medications in the treatment of migraines.
